"Box showed up smashed around the edges"
The box arrived in rough shape, with the packaging ripped open in a few spots. There were parts loose inside too, so I was a bit concerned about whether everything was still okay

"WiFi works well, but the app is kinda slow"
So, yeah, the WiFi connection works good for the most part, and the app does connect fine without much trouble. It’s just, like, a little slow sometimes when you’re opening it or waiting for things to load. Not a huge deal, but it could definitely feel a bit smoother.

"So... I had an issue with my grill..."
So... I had an issue with my grill and figured I’d try to use the warranty, but the whole process was frustrating. Support took forever to get back to me, and every time they did, they asked for more pictures or more info. After weeks of going back and forth, it really felt like they were just dragging it out. I finally gave up. I don’t think I’ll be buying from Z Grills again

"Honestly, it just doesn’t grill evenly"
I grabbed this on a whim hoping it would make grilling easier, but nope, the heat is all over the place. Some spots cook way too fast while others barely do anything. Frustrating.

"Still going strong after 3 years"
I bought my Z Grill a little over three years ago, it’s been a really solid purchase. Mine stays outside under a cover year-round, and I haven’t had any issues with rust. The lid still closes well, and I use it most weekends without any trouble. I’ve only had to replace one small part in all that time, which isn’t bad at all. Based on my experience, it’s held up great.

"Works fine, just not as flexible as I wanted"
It’s okay for basic smoking and longer cooks, like it does that part well. But I guess I was hoping for something a little more... I don’t know, useful for quick weeknight meals too. The temperature range doesn’t feel super flexible, and the sear is kind of underwhelming. For what it costs, I expected it to handle more than just slow cooking

When my grill arrived, the box was banged up and one of the parts had a dent from shipping. I emailed zgrills and included my receipt and a couple photos. It took a few back-and-forth emails, but they ended up sending the replacement part. Not the smoothest experience, but it did get taken care of

"Maybe it’s just me, but it doesn’t sear hot enough"
Maybe it’s just me, but I couldn’t get a strong sear with this. It works, but the heat just didn’t seem intense enough to really brown things the way I was hoping.

"Pretty easy to keep clean"
It’s just way easier to clean than my old grill. The ash comes out really quick, and, like, the grease bucket isn’t a hassle at all. I usually just give it a quick wipe-down after I’m done cooking, and yeah, there’s no big messy cleanup to deal with...

"My grill arrived quicker than expected"
I ordered my grill on Monday and didn’t expect it to show up so soon, but it was at my house by Thursday. The tracking was easy to follow the whole time, which made it even better. Overall, I was really happy with how smooth and fast the delivery was.

"I’ve had my Z Grills smoker sitting out..."
I’ve had my Z Grills smoker sitting out on the patio through rain and a few cold nights, and so far there’s no rust showing at all. I do keep a cover on it, which definitely helps, but the paint and metal still feel really solid. i’ve been super happy with how well it’s handled the weather!

I’ve used this grill a handful of times now, and overall it does the job. The food usually turns out good, but the temperature jumps around more than I think it should. I don’t mind paying attention while cooking, but it feels only fair to expect a grill to hold heat more consistently, especially when you’re trying not to waste good food. It’s not a bad grill by any means, just not one I’d call amazing either.

I’ve used it for ribs a few times now and, uh, it holds the temperature close overall. It does swing a little here and there, but nothing too crazy or hard to deal with

"Starts up about every time"
My Z Grill has been reliable when starting up so far. It takes around a few minutes to get going, but it usually lights without any drama. I had one slow start when it was cold out, but that’s about it.

"I was disappointed when my Z Grill showed..."
I was disappointed when my Z Grill showed up. The metal panels feel really thin, the lid sits crooked, and a couple of the screws stripped way too easily while putting it together. It just doesn’t feel like something that’s built to last. What made it more frustrating is trying to get help and feeling like nobody really wants to take ownership of the issue. Everyone just seems to pass it off instead of actually helping fix it.

"Pretty quick support when I needed it"
I had a small issue with my order and reached out to support. They got back to me faster than I expected, and I thought it was going to be a hassle, but actually it wasn’t too bad. It did take one extra email to fully sort everything out, but overall I was happy with the service.

It works fine, but omg it’s heavy and awkward to carry or shift around. Not the easiest thing to move when you need to, ngl.

"Good space for weekend cooking"
I’ve used it a few times for weekend meals, and the cooking space seems solid. I was able to fit ribs and some veggies without much trouble. I do kind of wish the top rack was a little bigger, though maybe I’m just trying to cram too much on there

"Looks decent from a distance, but don’t expect a premium feel"
Just a heads up if you’re picky about how your patio setup looks: this grill looks okay from far away, but once you get closer it feels cheap. The design is kind of plain, and a few parts don’t line up as nicely as I expected. The finish is also nothing special, just average at best. It works if you only care about a basic-looking grill, but I was hoping for something that looked a lot nicer. Appearance-wise, I’d say manage your expectations.

"Not a lot of smoky flavor"
I was hoping for more of that smoky taste, but the food were just barely smoky to me. It wasn’t bad, just kind of underwhelming.
